About me
Architectural career to date: Between 1986 and 2013 I worked as an architect for the firm John Williamson Architects, Belfast, eventually as senior architect and Associate. Following the retirement of the principal, Mr Ian Williamson, in 2013, I set up my own practice, having purchased the ongoing business from him.
Architectural experience: I have extensive design and job-running experience in a wide variety of residential architecture projects, including bespoke designs for individual detached dwellings, private domestic extensions, private housing developments, public/social housing schemes, and residential buildings for a variety of specific categories, including residential homes for persons with learning disabilities, persons with mental illness, the physically disabled, the elderly and ex-prisoners. My professional experience includes schemes for listed buildings and buildings within designated Conservation areas. In addition to the residential sector, I have wide-ranging experience in other areas, including offices, retail and community buildings.
General philosophy: I offer a wealth of personal and professional experience, a desire to give customers what they want (and hopefully more), an attention to detail, and a warm and friendly client-centred approach.
